An overhead projector played a video of the water weathering a rock. This was projected on a piece of plaster placed on the floor, made by pouring plaster over the sand on the shore with shells. The pieces placed around the room are collected objects embedded in organic plaster moulds propped on iron stands.
In the video, the weathered rock has accumulated shells over years of being lashed by the waves. The light box projections on the wall project shadows of drawings of the sea that were engraved on a glass surface. They are testament to the failure to draw the sea through observation, as water does not stand still.
